To Use Democracy Reading is Fundamental to Test to Vote
"FREEDOM to VOTE!" 😍💖
Please imagine that to a framer of the United States Constitution, one way of being politically incorrect would have been discussing one's fear of ignorant voters aloud or in any print. In a new country experimenting with self-government by the vote, it would have been perceived as an insult to the masses (commoners) to say it. Long after State ratification, the discussion became safer.
So, the civil right to vote, or any mention of that, is left out of the entire United States Constitution. An age restriction of 21 to become eligible to vote (nationwide). The former was the only test that could provide the community with some assurance that people without wisdom or knowledge would not destroy the nation, States, towns, and cities. There had to be an age restriction because 90% of the electorate was illiterate; they could not be tested on a minimum safe level of knowledge of our history, civics, and current events, all essential knowledge to participate in a self-run government that is sincerely chosen through an intellectual process.
Please think now about voter testing because using democracy as the intellectual process it was designed to be, reading is fundamental, and now the electorate can do it.
We have all lost when a party or someone wins an election and it is later discovered that it was a wrong decision.
Democracy must begin to be taken seriously. Voting is now very dangerous because if a government can launch a war that obliterates the Earth, you betcha we should be testing those who can make the wrong decision.
Here's a picture of pure ignorance in the form of violent rioters and the person who sent them. All were allowed to participate in our self-government freely, with no judgment by their community of their knowledge of what is right and true or American. On January 6 2021, they were operating on completely false assertions:
We can all read now. We take on average 112 tests before leaving high school.
When active, most high school graduates would have taken the exam as a prerequisite for their diploma and would only need to take the Current Events component within 6 months of any statewide election. Our public school's social studies and history teachers would be excellent choices to write all the exams. Questions should be based on a tenth-grade level of literacy and of history and civics education. All questions should be published in sample tests that are freely available to all in all languages spoken.
THE USA has an IQ of 98. True.
The lies will not stop. The divided news information universes will never end without a constitutional amendment to the First Amendment to dismantle and reform the Press Clause concept. And that's not going to happen anytime soon.
Voting was never a right; it was always a privilege that could be abused. As it turns out, not #VoterTesting has been a form of abuse of #democracy we are all guilty of.
As it was for the first forty years of my life, we will never see again a shared understanding of what the news is, what facts are and what reality is. We now share polarizing realities. It’s the news media, dummy; people are choosing news based on their politics and the millionaire owners saw this coming, in fact, several on the conservative side of our politics made it so. This is why we must Voter Test as if our lives depended on it. Ignorance is highly destructive. The Iraq War. Afghanistan, ICE, and Trump! The Civil War was fought due to the ignorance of Southerners; they were mostly illiterate hicks who could be told anything. ~~~~
It is on many people, but yes, now primarily on him, then, his dumbassed voters, the millionaire and billionaire media owners since circa 1989 AM radio takeover of 24/7 bullshit, the State legislatures for allowing stereotypes of Jim Crow racism to prevent us from enacting Voter Testing like we test for a driver's license, allowing honest democracy to proceeed past a vastly ignorant and constantly mislead electorate. On January 6th, one insurrectionist thought that he was at the White House during the Capitol building attack. The IQ of the USA is 98. If we don't regulate the The Press (we won't), we must then at least test all would-be voters for a minimum degree of knowledge, to safely drive this self-government and share the road with us.
With simplistic eligibility to vote, we trust tens of millions with an intellectual process that affects all our lives.
